DRY SKIN

Flaky? Tight? Dry? Sound about right?

Despite its common nature, this condition is often worse in the winter, when cold winds can compromise your skin barrier.

As a result of some sensitivities and ageing, you might show signs of sensitivity around the eyes and mouth. Your pores aren’t very visible (lucky you!), but you feel like you could re-apply your moisturiser multiple times throughout the day!

Maybe you suffer from eczema and dermatitis? Itchy skin that hurts and flakes off. That's awful. It's all about smoother, softer skin that doesn't itch!

Let's rehydrate your skin so you'll have the skin you've always wanted!

Daily Skincare Routine

Cleanse

Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser that does not contain alcohol. Wet your face with lukewarm water and use your fingertips to apply cleanser. Resist the temptation to scrub your skin because scrubbing irritates the skin. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

Tone

Soak a cotton pad with toner, then swipe it over your entire face, neck, and chest. You should use toner after washing your face, and before using serum or moisturizer. If you want to go green and skip the cotton pad, you can also put a few drops of toner into the palms of your hands and then press them into your face.

Moisturise

Most people tend to rub moisturizer in the palms of their hands before applying, meaning that much of your precious product is absorbing into your hands. Instead, pump a little to the back of your hand, then take your ring finger and dab it all over your face before gently massaging it in.

Weekly Skincare Routine

Exfoliate

If you use a scrub apply the product gently using small, circular motions. Do this for about 30 seconds, and then rinse off with lukewarm — not hot — water. If you use a brush or sponge, use short light strokes. Never exfoliate if you have open cuts or wounds or if your skin is sunburned.

Face Mask

Have a seat, drape your towel over your head and the pot, and hold your face 6 inches above the water. Raise or lower your head for more or less heat and lift a corner of the towel to cool off if needed. Steam your face for 5 to 10 minutes.

KEY INGREDIENTS FOR DRY SKIN

avocado oil.jpeg

Avocado Oil

When left on for short periods of time and rinsed off with warm water, avocado oil can keep skin hydrated without leaving an oily residue. This may reduce the risk of acne. Avocado oil also has anti-inflammatory effects , which can help to reduce the redness and inflammation associated with acne.

Rosehip Oil

A great oil for acne prone skin, it has a super light texture and absorbs quickly leaving no oily residue. Regular use will prevent further breakouts.

Coconut Oil
